Server

As a Server, you will be responsible for taking guest orders, providing menu recommendations, and delivering food and drinks in a timely and professional manner. You will ensure that guests have a seamless and enjoyable dining experience by providing attentive, personalized service. In addition to these core responsibilities, you will assist with delivering food and beverages to the correct tables, helping clear and reset tables, and interacting with guests in the retail area who wish to make a mobile purchase. A good understanding of the food, beverage, and retail offerings is essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, attentive to details, and skilled in creating positive guest interactions. 


Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service & Hospitality

  • Provide exceptional service to all guests by welcoming them warmly, offering menu recommendations, and ensuring they have great experience. 

  • Build rapport with regular guests and new guests, anticipating their needs and delivering personalized service. 

  • Take orders accurately and repeat them to ensure clarity, ensuring that all guest preferences are understood and communicated to the kitchen and bar teams.

  • Run food and beverages to the correct tables in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation.

  • Assist in clearing and resetting tables between guests, maintaining a clean and inviting dining area. 

Menu Knowledge & Recommendation

  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge and understanding of the Sipeos menu, including non-alcoholic and low-ABV beverage offerings.

  • Understand the retail offerings and assist guests with questions or purchases related to retail products. 

  • Provide thoughtful menu recommendations, highlighting special dishes and drink pairings. 

  • Stay updated on new menu items, seasonal offerings, and promotions to confidently share with guests.

Food and Beverage Delivery

  • Ensure that food and beverages are delivered promptly. 

  • Regularly check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure their satisfaction and address any additional needs or requests. 

Cleanliness & Organization

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting and clearing tables, resetting tables for new guests. 

  • Assist with side work duties such as polishing glassware, folding napkins, and restocking service stations. 

Team Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate food and drink service, communicating any special requests or dietary restrictions to the team. 

  • Communicate effectively with management, following service protocols and providing feedback on guest experiences or operational improvements. 

Payment Processing & Order Accuracy

  • Handle payment transactions accurately, using the POS system to process payments, split bills, etc. 

  • Double-check all orders before delivering them to the guest to ensure accuracy and quality. 

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow all health, safety, and alcohol-serving regulations, including checking guest IDs when necessary and ensuring responsible service. 

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods while engaging with guests and delivering food and beverages. 

  • Lift and carry trays of food and beverages as needed. 

  • Move efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely service during busy periods. 


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a service-oriented role (server, host, bartender, etc.) in a high-volume restaurant. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapports with guests and provide exceptional service. 

  • Ability to work well under pressure and multitask efficiently during busy service periods. 

  • Knowledge of food and beverage service, with a willingness to learn about Sipeos’ unique offerings. 

  • Experience with current POS systems and handling payment transactions. 

  • Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team to deliver a seamless guest experience. 

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
