Barista-Cashier
As a Barista-Cashier at Sipeos Café & Bar, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service by preparing high-quality beverages and food items while also handling cashier duties. This dual role involves crafting a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, maintaining a clean and welcoming café environment, and accurately processing transactions. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, has a keen attention to detail, and enjoys interacting with customers to create a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Barista Duties:
Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty drinks, following Sipeos’ recipes and standards.
Operate coffee-making equipment, including espresso machines and grinders, while maintaining cleanliness and efficiency.
Assist in food preparation, including light snacks and pastries.
Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Educate customers on the different beverage options, flavors, and drink preparation methods.
Maintain knowledge of the menu and suggest products to enhance the customer experience.
Cashier Duties:
Greet customers warmly, take orders, and accurately input them into the POS system.
Process payments, including cash, credit, and digital transactions, while providing correct change.
Handle customer inquiries, provide recommendations, and resolve any issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
Keep the front counter, register area, and seating area clean and organized.
Assist with stocking inventory, such as cups, lids, and other supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a barista or cashier preferred but not required.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems.
A passion for coffee, a positive attitude, and a desire to provide a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Comfortable with repetitive motions, such as grinding coffee, pressing espresso, and using a register.
